侏儒低攀鲈为丝足鲈科鱼类，安静的迷鳃鱼，喧闹同缸会紧张，原生分布于东南亚。会到水面吞咽空气，因此温暖、静水、草密的水体才是家。成体约 3–4.4 cm，单养或成对，每条都有自己的角落，适宜水温 25–28 °C。水流要小，水草要浮。
Trichopsis pumila is a Osphronemidae from Southeast Asia. It gulps air at the surface, so warm, still, plant-covered water is home — and cold drafts are not. It lives on the bottom. Adults reach 3–4.4 cm. Singly or in pairs; every gourami wants its corner. Give it warm, gentle water, floating plants and quiet neighbours; filter flow should barely ripple the surface. Maintain 25–28 °C at pH 6–7. A rewarding species for the aquarist who reads before buying.
