绿虎鳅为鳅科鱼类，温和的底栖鱼，喜在细沙中翻掘，原生分布于东南亚（缅甸至泰国）。关灯后才是它的主场，细沙与缓沉饲料是关键。成体约 15.8–23.1 cm，小群 5 尾以上，单独饲养易胆怯，适宜水温 18–26 °C。细沙胜过一切造景。
Syncrossus hymenophysa is a Cobitidae from Myanmar to Thailand, SE Asia. Half of its life happens after dark; give it fine sand and it will reward you with natural foraging. It lives on the bottom. Adults reach 15.8–23.1 cm. Loose groups of 5+; loneliness makes them shy. Use a soft sand bed and feed sinking foods; coarse gravel wears down its sensory barbels. Maintain 18–26 °C at pH 6.5–7.5. Water quality and diet matter more than décor.
