滇池金线鲃为鲤科鱼类，温和，宜与体型相近的和平鱼混养，原生分布于中国云南、贵州洞穴水系。性情平和、食性杂，是混养缸里最省心的居民之一。成体约 11.2–16.5 cm，4–6 尾可观察自然行为，适宜水温 18–26 °C。稳水、换水、杂食，足矣。
