背角无齿蚌为蚌科（Unionidae）淡水蚌，是中国河溪中经典的河蚌，也是鳑鲏传统的繁殖宿主。壳长可达 10–15 cm，滤食浮游植物，能净化绿水，适宜水温 15–26 °C，需成熟稳定的缸。
Sinanodonta woodiana is a Unionidae freshwater mussel, East Asia's classic river mussel and the traditional host of bitterling. In the aquarium it is a harmless filter feeder that clears green water. Plan on a 10–15 cm shell at 15–26 °C in a mature tank; it needs suspended foods and stable, unheated-tolerant conditions.
