花斑裸鲤为鲤科鱼类，成年个体安静，幼鱼时期群游，原生分布于青藏高原水系。高原河流的冷水性鲤科鱼，请按温带溪流鱼而非热带鱼对待。成体约 24.8–36.3 cm，建议长缸单养或小群，适宜水温 18–26 °C。降温比喂食更重要。
Cyprinidae species Schizopygopsis pylzovi comes from Tibetan Plateau waters. A cold, torrent-dwelling cyprinid of the plateau rivers — treat it like a temperate trout-stream fish, not a tropical. It lives on the bottom. Adults reach 24.8–36.3 cm. Singly or in small groups in long tanks. Plan for chillers or a cool room, strong flow and excellent oxygen — heat kills where hunger cannot. Maintain 18–26 °C at pH 6.5–7.5. A rewarding species for the aquarist who reads before buying.
