南台吻虾虎为虾虎鱼科鱼类，温和，但对同类有领地意识，原生分布于中国华东、华南山溪。每块石头都是房产；给每尾一个洞，缸里就太平。成体约 4.7–6.8 cm，一穴一鱼，各得其所则相安无事，适宜水温 18–26 °C。一鱼一洞，万事大吉。
Rhinogobius nantaiensis is a Gobiidae from mountain streams of E & S China. Every rock overhang is real estate; give each fish a cave and the tank stays peaceful. It lives on the bottom. Adults reach 4.7–6.8 cm. A bonded pair claims one cave; keep others elsewhere. Provide fine sand or smooth gravel, a cave per fish, and gentle to moderate flow. Maintain 18–26 °C at pH 6.5–7.5. Best suited to a keeper who can match its natural water.
