普氏黄颡鱼为鲿科鱼类，和平的底栖巨鱼，对中上层生活毫无兴趣，原生分布于中国各水系。夜行底栖者，灯灭之后才是它一天的开始。成体约 24.6–36.1 cm，共用一块缸底，数量勿多，适宜水温 18–26 °C。沉底饲料，关灯后再喂。
Pseudobagrus pratti is a Bagridae from China. Its barbels read the sand like fingers; coarse gravel slowly wears them down. It lives on the bottom. Adults reach 24.6–36.1 cm. Pairs for the small species; solitaries for the big. Provide soft substrate, hiding tubes, and food that reaches the bottom before tankmates finish it. Maintain 18–26 °C at pH 6.5–7.5. Undemanding once its core needs are met.
