中华前臀鮡为鮡科鱼类，白天低调，入夜才开始忙碌，原生分布于中国。触须状的须子像手指一样阅读沙地，粗糙底砂会慢慢磨损它。成体约 10.5–15.4 cm，视体型单养或小群，底栖密度宜低，适宜水温 18–26 °C。沉底饲料，关灯后再喂。
