From the waters of Korean Peninsula comes Nipponocypris koreanus, a member of the family Cyprinidae. A adaptable species that forgives beginner mistakes more readily than most. It uses the whole water column. Adults reach 13–19.1 cm. Singly or in small groups depending on temperament. Give it clean water and room to behave naturally, and it will largely care for itself. Maintain 12–26 °C at pH 6.5–7.5. Undemanding once its core needs are met.
