军帽螺为蜑螺科（Neritidae）淡水螺，体型较大的深色食藻螺，壳面光滑如头盔。壳径约 3–4 cm，适宜水温 22–26 °C、中等偏硬碱性水；与所有蜑螺一样无法在淡水中繁殖。
Neritina pulligera is a Neritidae freshwater snail, the Black Helmet Nerite — a larger, darker algae cleaner with a smooth helmet shell. In the aquarium it stays a tireless, peaceful grazer. Plan on a 3–4 cm shell at 22–26 °C in medium-hard alkaline water; like all nerites it cannot reproduce in freshwater.
饲养难度：容易。Peaceful — completely plant-safe。
保持 22–26 °C 并避免波动，pH 7–8.5、GH 8–20 dGH 即可。
成体 3–4 cm 左右，因其Bottom — scraping glass and hardscape的习性，30 L 以上的缸更合适。
Grazing algae eater; handles diatoms and green algae。建议人工饲料搭配冷冻或活饵，保证多样性。

人工环境下：Requires brackish water to reproduce — will not overrun freshwater tanks。No practical external difference。
