福建小鳔鮈为鲤科鱼类，温和，宜与体型相近的和平鱼混养，原生分布于中国。性情平和、食性杂，是混养缸里最省心的居民之一。成体约 8.6–12.7 cm，4–6 尾可观察自然行为，适宜水温 18–26 °C。稳水、换水、杂食，足矣。
Microphysogobio fukiensis, a member of the family Cyprinidae, comes from China, where it inhabits clear streams and rivers over gravel. Peaceful; keep with similar-sized calm tankmates and omnivore; prepared foods with regular variety, it grows to 8.6–12.7 cm and adapts well to a properly set-up aquarium in the 18–26 °C range.
