霓虹燕子为虹银汉鱼科鱼类，和平群游，雄鱼体色闪炼、偶有轻斗，原生分布于中北美洲。开阔、向阳水体的群游鱼，体色靠岁月而非店家灯光。成体约 6.8–9.9 cm，至少 6–8 尾，群体越大越安定，适宜水温 27–30 °C。缸要长，群要大，水要清。

Adults reach 6.8–9.9 cm. Groups of 6–8 minimum; larger schools calm them. Long tank, big group, steady water changes — colour follows within months. Maintain 27–30 °C at pH 7–8. Best suited to a keeper who can match its natural water.
