黄线薄鳅为鳅科鱼类，平和、群居、略偏夜行，原生分布于中国长江水系。关灯后才是它的主场，细沙与缓沉饲料是关键。成体约 16.5–24.2 cm，建议 4–6 尾同养，夜行活动更自在，适宜水温 22–28 °C。细沙胜过一切造景。
Leptobotia flavolineata is a Cobitidae from Yangtze basin, China. Half of its life happens after dark; give it fine sand and it will reward you with natural foraging. It lives on the bottom. Adults reach 16.5–24.2 cm. Sociable; keep 4–6 so night-time activity stays confident. Use a soft sand bed and feed sinking foods; coarse gravel wears down its sensory barbels. Maintain 22–28 °C at pH 6.5–7.5. Undemanding once its core needs are met.
