粗唇鮠为鲿科鱼类，夜行性居多，白天安静潜伏，原生分布于中国各水系。触须状的须子像手指一样阅读沙地，粗糙底砂会慢慢磨损它。成体约 30.6–44.9 cm，小型种可成对，大型种单养，适宜水温 16–25 °C。沉底饲料，关灯后再喂。

Keep bottom stock light — they share one floor. Feed sinking foods after lights-out, keep the sand soft, and never let nitrate climb unnoticed. Maintain 16–25 °C at pH 6.5–7.5. A solid choice for a well-planned community tank.
