帕氏鳅鮀为鲤科鱼类，温和，宜与体型相近的和平鱼混养，原生分布于中国黄河水系。适应性强的物种，对新手错误较为宽容。成体约 11.2–16.5 cm，4–6 尾可观察自然行为，适宜水温 18–26 °C。稳水、换水、杂食，足矣。
