红苹果美人为虹银汉鱼科鱼类，安静的活跃群游鱼，体色随年龄加深，原生分布于大洋洲（新几内亚）。开阔、向阳水体的群游鱼，体色靠岁月而非店家灯光。成体约 9–13.2 cm，开阔水体群游，切忌少于 6 尾，适宜水温 29–30 °C。缸要长，群要大，水要清。
From the waters of New Guinea comes Glossolepis incisus, a member of the family Melanotaeniidae. A schooling fish of open, sunlit water whose colours arrive with maturity, not in the shop tank. It lives on the bottom. Adults reach 9–13.2 cm. Schools in the open water; never keep below 6. Long tank, big group, steady water changes — colour follows within months. Maintain 29–30 °C at pH 7.6–8.2. A solid choice for a well-planned community tank.
