大鳍疣鮡为鮡科鱼类，夜行性居多，白天安静潜伏，原生分布于中国云南（怒江）。触须状的须子像手指一样阅读沙地，粗糙底砂会慢慢磨损它。成体约 25.5–37.4 cm，小型种可成对，大型种单养，适宜水温 18–26 °C。沉底饲料，关灯后再喂。
Creteuchiloglanis macropterus, a member of the family Sisoridae, comes from Nujiang, Yunnan, China, where it inhabits mountain torrents clinging to boulders. Peaceful; most activity happens after dark and omnivorous scavenger — sinking pellets, frozen and vegetable foods, it grows to 25.5–37.4 cm and adapts well to a properly set-up aquarium in the 18–26 °C range.
