三间鼠为鳅科鱼类，基本温和，投喂时需避开抢食快的鱼，原生分布于印度尼西亚苏门答腊及婆罗洲。夜行性底栖鱼，细沙底床能让它展现自然觅食行为。成体约 11.5–16.8 cm，群居性底栖鱼，建议 5 尾以上，适宜水温 18–26 °C。细沙胜过一切造景。
From the waters of Sumatra & Borneo, Indonesia comes Chromobotia macracanthus, a member of the family Cobitidae. A sand-sifting bottom resident most active after the lights fade. It lives on the bottom. Adults reach 11.5–16.8 cm. Gregarious bottom fish; 5 or more recommended. Choose sand over gravel, feed after dusk, and keep ammonia at zero — loaches punish neglect visibly. Maintain 18–26 °C at pH 6.5–7.5. Best suited to a keeper who can match its natural water.
