缅甸雷龙为鳢科鱼类，幼鱼可群居，成体独霸一方，原生分布于缅甸。会呼吸空气的鳢类，严密缸盖与遮荫水面是保命配置。成体约 6–8.8 cm，幼鱼群游，成体单养，适宜水温 22–27 °C。缸盖必须上锁。
Channa burmanica, a member of the family Channidae, comes from Myanmar, where it inhabits still and slow waters among vegetation. Top predator — peaceful only with the unswallowable and a fish-eater that accepts tong-fed meaty fare, it grows to 6–8.8 cm and adapts well to a properly set-up aquarium in the 22–27 °C range.
