水晶虾为匙虾科（Atyidae）Caridina 的红白选育品系。成体约 2–2.5 cm，对亚硝酸盐波动敏感，需要软酸且极稳定的水质，适宜水温 20–26 °C。
Caridina cantonensis 'Crystal Red' — the Crystal Bee Shrimp — is a selective-bred Atyidae morph. In the aquarium it stays a very peaceful, striking red-and-white grazer. Plan on 2–2.5 cm of adult shrimp at 20–26 °C in soft acidic water; it is sensitive to nitrate swings, and suits dedicated shrimp keepers.
