Carassius cuvieri is a Cyprinidae from Japan (introduced to China). Its calm temperament and broad diet make it one of the more forgiving residents of a community tank. It uses the whole water column. Adults reach 36–52.8 cm. Singly or in small groups depending on temperament. Stable water, regular partial changes and a varied diet cover nearly everything it needs. Maintain 18–26 °C at pH 6–8. Undemanding once its core needs are met.
