Boraras merah is a Cyprinidae from Southeast Asia. Built for speed in clear streams — colour, condition and courage all track water quality. It lives on the bottom. Adults reach 1.5–2.2 cm. Groups of 6 minimum; bigger schools calm them. Cover the surface with floating plants, keep the school large, and maintain spotless water. Maintain 25–28 °C at pH 5–6.5. Best suited to a keeper who can match its natural water.
