秉氏爬岩鳅为爬鳅科鱼类，温和，仅对喜欢的石头有领域性，原生分布于中国南方山溪。喜欢急流、凉爽、高溶氧的水环境，高温是最大的敌人。成体约 5.6–8.1 cm，建议一石一鱼，或 3 尾以上分散领域，适宜水温 18–26 °C。水流、溶氧和低温，三者缺一不可。
Balitoridae species Beaufortia pingi comes from southern Chinese mountain streams. A torrent-lover built to clamp onto stone in fast, cool, highly oxygenated water; warmth is its enemy. It lives on the bottom. Adults reach 5.6–8.1 cm. Keep one per stone field, or 3+ to spread territory. Aim for brisk current, high oxygen and real algae growth; a powerhead is not optional here. Maintain 18–26 °C at pH 6.5–7.5. A rewarding species for the aquarist who reads before buying.
