花鳗鲡为鳗鲡科鱼类，温和，宜与体型相近的和平鱼混养，原生分布于中国南方沿海及台湾。性情平和、食性杂，是混养缸里最省心的居民之一。成体约 52.5–77 cm，4–6 尾可观察自然行为，适宜水温 20–26 °C。稳水、换水、杂食，足矣。
Anguilla marmorata, a member of the family Anguillidae, is native to S China coasts & Taiwan. Its calm temperament and broad diet make it one of the more forgiving residents of a community tank. It swims in mid-water. Adults reach 52.5–77 cm. Keep in a group of 4–6 for natural behaviour. Stable water, regular partial changes and a varied diet cover nearly everything it needs. Maintain 20–26 °C at pH 6.5–7.5. Best suited to a keeper who can match its natural water.
