Opsariichthys kaopingensis is a Cyprinidae from Kaoping River, Taiwan. Its calm temperament and broad diet make it one of the more forgiving residents of a community tank. It lives on the bottom. Adults reach 8.6–12.5 cm. Keep in a group of 4–6 for natural behaviour. Stable water, regular partial changes and a varied diet cover nearly everything it needs. Maintain 10–20 °C at pH 6.5–7.5. Water quality and diet matter more than décor.
