From the waters of 中国 comes Distoechodon tumirostris, a member of the family Cyprinidae. A adaptable species that forgives beginner mistakes more readily than most. It lives on the bottom. Adults reach 19.6–28.7 cm. Keep in a group of 4–6 for natural behaviour. Give it clean water and room to behave naturally, and it will largely care for itself. Maintain 18–26 °C at pH 6.5–7.5. Undemanding once its core needs are met.
