Danio nigrofasciatus is a Cyprinidae from South & Southeast Asia. Built for speed in clear streams — colour, condition and courage all track water quality. It uses the whole water column. Adults reach 2.3–3.4 cm. Shoaling; 8–10+ for constant motion and confidence. Cover the surface with floating plants, keep the school large, and maintain spotless water. Maintain 18–24 °C at pH 6–8. A rewarding species for the aquarist who reads before buying.
