Osphronemidae species Betta macrostoma comes from Southeast Asia. A labyrinth breather that cruises the plant tops like a sailboat in still water. It patrols the upper water. Adults reach 4.5–6.6 cm. A pair bonds loosely; keep décor between rivals. Prioritise calm surface water and cover from above; this fish dislikes current and commotion equally. Maintain 24–28 °C at pH 6–8. A solid choice for a well-planned community tank.
