Cyprinidae species Acrossocheilus iridescens comes from southern Chinese mountain streams. A adaptable species that forgives beginner mistakes more readily than most. It uses the whole water column. Adults reach 22.3–32.7 cm. Small groups recommended. Give it clean water and room to behave naturally, and it will largely care for itself. Maintain 15–25 °C at pH 6.5–7.5. A rewarding species for the aquarist who reads before buying.
