A Balitoridae species: Sinogastromyzon wui lives bottom-dwelling on rock surfaces over fast-flowing mountain streams, clinging to rocks. Peaceful; territorial over a favourite perch. Adults reach 10.5–15.4 cm. It is one of the aquarium-kept Sinogastromyzon species we profile, alongside Sinogastromyzon puliensis, Sinogastromyzon szechuanensis.
