Pangio doriae, a member of the family Cobitidae, comes from Southeast Asia, where it inhabits sandy stretches of slow rivers. Peaceful bottom-dweller and omnivore with a carnivorous tilt; sinking foods, it grows to 7.5–11 cm and adapts well to a properly set-up aquarium in the 24–30 °C range.
