Megalobrama mantschuricus is a Cyprinidae from 中国. Its calm temperament and broad diet make it one of the more forgiving residents of a community tank. It uses the whole water column. Adults reach 30–60 cm. Keep in a group of 4–6 for natural behaviour. Stable water, regular partial changes and a varied diet cover nearly everything it needs. Maintain 10–20 °C at pH 6.5–7.5. Undemanding once its core needs are met.
