A Gobiidae species native to Japan and Korea: Gymnogobius urotaenia lives bottom-dwelling over sand. Peaceful except over a chosen cave. Adults reach 10.5–15.4 cm. It is one of the aquarium-kept Gymnogobius species we profile, alongside Gymnogobius petschiliensis.
