Descripción de la especie

Gymnocypris eckloni, a member of the family Cyprinidae, comes from Tibetan Plateau waters, where it inhabits clear streams and rivers over gravel. Calm giants; anything swallowable is food and accepts most foods; give it greens as well as protein, it grows to 11.2–16.5 cm and adapts well to a properly set-up aquarium in the 18–26 °C range. Other Gymnocypris species in our database include Gymnocypris przewalskii.
