A Sisoridae species native to China: Glyptothorax hainanensis lives bottom of fast water over mountain torrents clinging to boulders. Peaceful; most activity happens after dark. Adults reach 25.5–37.4 cm. It is one of the aquarium-kept Glyptothorax species we profile, alongside Glyptothorax sinensis, Glyptothorax fokiensis, Glyptothorax pallozonus.
