A Cyprinidae species native to South & Southeast Asia: Danio nigrofasciatus lives active throughout the water column over gravel. Peaceful and energetic; shy only when kept too few. Adults reach 2.3–3.4 cm. It is one of the aquarium-kept Danio species we profile, alongside Danio margaritatus, Danio rerio, Danio albolineatus.
