From the waters of China comes Chanodichthys oxycephalus, a member of the family Cyprinidae. A adaptable species that forgives beginner mistakes more readily than most. It uses the whole water column. Adults reach 76.5–112.2 cm. Small groups recommended. Give it clean water and room to behave naturally, and it will largely care for itself. Maintain 18–26 °C at pH 6.5–7.5. A solid choice for a well-planned community tank.
