It lives on the bottom. Adults reach 8.1–11.9 cm. Singly or in small groups depending on temperament. Stable water, regular partial changes and a varied diet cover nearly everything it needs. Maintain 18–26 °C at pH 6.5–7.5. A rewarding species for the aquarist who reads before buying.
