Artübersicht

From the waters of 中国 comes Erromyzon sinensis, a member of the family Balitoridae. A torrent-lover built to clamp onto stone in fast, cool, highly oxygenated water; warmth is its enemy. It lives on the bottom. Adults reach 3.9–5.7 cm. Singly or in a loose group on open rockwork. Aim for brisk current, high oxygen and real algae growth; a powerhead is not optional here. Maintain 18–26 °C at pH 6.5–7.5. A solid choice for a well-planned community tank.
